Rockville Interactive, LLC is owned and run by Helen Triolo, and provides programming services to support the development
of online and offline interactive software applications. We are located in Rockville, Maryland and can be reached at 301-424-6037.
We have over twelve years experience developing dynamic websites, games, video players, templates, elearning tools, product CDs, and interactive maps, using PHP and MySQL, CodeIgniter, Flex and Flash Actionscript, DHTML, Javascript, Photoshop, and AJAX for Google map integration. Formerly i-Technica, now Rockville Interactive, LLC, our clients and work include the following:

The current focus of our energies is the development of a community website for Rockville, Maryland that will allow people who live, work, play, eat, and shop in Rockville to find what they're looking for easily, and give local business owners a place to promote their businesses online. The site is built with CodeIgniter with a MySQL backend, and uses the Google maps AJAX API to display map information.

For Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, we programmed the interface for this Glaucoma Training module, used to provide online training for Glaucoma Diagnosis. The XML-driven Flash interface integrated text notes, images, quizzes, and a video player.

In conjunction with a class on Flash Actionscript programming that we taught at the Corcoran College of Art & Design for three years, we created this
website of actionscript tutorials and downloadable sample files for students in the class and around the world to make use of.

When public review of Rockville's new zoning ordinance began in late 2007, we created this interactive
zoning map, allowing a user to see the location and information about each of the proposed zones. It also connects to the Google geocode service to allow an address to be typed in and the location shown.

We also used Zoomify and Flash to create this interactive map for
Atlantic Communications.

For the Musical Theater Center, we have provided custom online and desktop video players to show off the talents of this local performing group. One page which contains some short video clips is the
Spotlight on Broadway 2005 page.
We also programmed a Curriculum Map, with integrated video player, for Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, which combines streaming lecture video, PowerPoint presentation, and course objectives with a knowledge management model to assess curriculum scope and integration.

We programmed a template for Discovery Communications that allows a producer to specify the exact layout they wish to use to integrate a variety of different media on a single page: video, images, animations, different fonts, message and game links. The template is in use on these pages:
Discovery Channel Shark Week,
Discovery Channel's Deadliest Catch fansite, and
Discovery Channel Mythbusters fansite.
We also provided templates for various Flash games and puzzles used throughout the site.

Flex and Flash are great tools for developing CD and kiosk applications as well as online applications. We've provided programming support to
Ram Digital, Inc on several XML and database-driven websites and applications, including a CD catalog of (yes) tattoos for one of their clients.
We also programmed an XML-driven Flash-based kiosk for another client, which is used by hotel visitors to view and print information about local restaurants and other area attractions and businesses, with maps and driving directions.
